Alex Lord AdminWe've taken a long look at this and it has become apparent that the consent to share information is not best represented by a demographics API. If you are very keen on tackling consent to share, please raise a separate feature saying what you'd like to see.

daniel bayleyMore generally than consent, PDS API access would be of key interest to us (digi.me).
We're keen to enable patients to authenticate to national services such as PDS, SCR, etc. so that patients can obtain an overview of their data. One PDS use case which would be of particular value is that it would be a "vouched" set of details which patients could universally access and then share beyond traditional healthcare setting for the purposes of their care/support. -

Alex Lord Admin@Dan - you may be interested then in our roadmap item: "Exemplar API - PDS FHIR API - authentication for citizens using NHS Login". It's worth noting that the SCR is used in "direct care" scenarios only, i.e. by clinicians, and does not presently have a citizen facing design. There are other options though, check out the "IM1 Patient interface", which you can read about here: https://bit.ly/3gOOz9L
