We are considering deprecating and retiring the Query Accredited System Interface (QASI) API, now that the SDS FHIR API has equivalent functionality.
We have discovered some gaps in the SDS FHIR API that we need to fill before we can deprecate the QASI API - (1) ability to lookup endpoints for intermediary messaging with a single request (instead of two); (2) availability of an environment for end user organisations to perform user acceptance testing.
We have now plugged the gaps mentioned in my comment above, and have updated the API spec to reflect the changes - see https://digital.nhs.uk/developer/api-catalogue/spine-directory-service-fhir.
We have deprecated this API today. We haven't set a retirement date yet - we will work with existing API consumers to agree a date that works for everyone.
