Notifiable Diseases API
Due to concern that there might be a rise in certain notifiable diseases coming soon, would it be beneficial to everyone if this (https://digital.nhs.uk/developer/api-catalogue/health-protection-electronic-notification ) was reinstated so we can see live figures of notifications rather than viewing the PDF that is sent around?
The PDF partially does its job to show cases but there isn't an easy way to track previous cases of notifiable diseases over time and if an area has some cases one week but not the next then the PDFs are not as easy to identify those areas as the borough just doesnt show on table in the week(s) it doesn't have cases

Tony Heap AdminRichard, that URL gives a 404 - and I don't recognise the API you're referring to - are you sure it's the right URL?

Richard SmithHi Tony, this website has identified the close bracket as part of the URL so when you click on it please delete the close bracket and it should work. Sorry for the inconvenience!

AdamThe link includes the ')' at the end so that's why it's giving an error - if that could be edited out?

Richard SmithIf deleting the close bracket as I commented on the 22nd Aug doesn't work then the link should be - https://digital.nhs.uk/developer/api-catalogue/health-protection-electronic-notification

Tony Heap AdminHi Richard,
We have very little information about this API - we found the API spec in our of our repositories (TRUD, probably) and included it in the API Catalogue without really knowing anything about who was involved in it. I'm guessing it was a programme that was set up and wrote the spec but then never got round to rolling out the API itself. If anyone knows any more about it, please add a comment!
